Job Readiness Training and Employment Assistance – This component of the TVRS program begins with an assessment to help the client determine short and long term goals that the team will use to create an individualized service plan. In addition to the 1 on 1 services, there are a variety of interactive workshops offered to help clients develop or enhance professional skills, including topics such as: professional dress, body language, time management, resume writing, career building, interviewing techniques, job retention techniques, communication, work/life balance, workplace conflict, et cetera.
Wednesdays – 5:00 PM: Bridges to Success/Job Readiness Training
Tutoring and Educational Support – TVRS offers 1-on-1 and small group tutoring for G.E.D. students through Mercer County Community College, and the additional support of student volunteers from The College of New Jersey. We also offer self-paced, online certifications in forklift operation and other state-approved programs.

Life Skills Training – TVRS offers a 12-week ongoing self-development and employment readiness program through a modified version of the Botvin LifeSkills Training Curriculum. Topics include Education, Employment, Conflict Resolution, Impulse Control, Relationship Management, Decision Making, Coping with Grief & Loss, Time Management, Communication Skills, Crisis Management, and Community Engagement. The program offers a weekly group session to begin each week’s workshop focus, followed by one on one individual support on the subject area as needed throughout the following weeks. Life Skills workshops are a required component of the TVRS program. In order to complete this phase of the program, every participant is required to attend a minimum of 9 sessions.

Child Support Assistance (by appointment)
Outreach workers will be assigned to the client and assist them in addressing any barriers and promote their efforts to become self-sufficient through the services offered at TVRS or community-based resource referrals for food, housing, social services, et cetera.
