“I’ve been in the program for two years, and it’s helped me out a lot. Mr. Sherman was my outreach worker; I liked him a lot. He would call me, and we’d talk. If I had any problems, we’d talk about it. Then I’d come in, and we’d talk again. TVRS also helps with jobs, and through the program, I was able to go to school. Since being at TVRS, I talk more than I did before. They’re just like family here. I’m still in school, doing massage therapy. Right now, I’m doing the test for hot stones. I’ll be finished with the program in October. Others should join TVRS for whatever they can find in the program that will help them. My particular situation might not help them, and other people’s situations might not help them. In order to be successful at TVRS, they have to be willing to help themselves.”
